In the Name of Miscavige: A Scientology Knowledge Report

An image of the fake Knowledge Report about the death of my son, Kyle, was used as a prop in Season I of Leah Remini: Scientology and Aftermath. The Aftermath producers did not ask if I approved of this. With callous disregard for the content, they took the document and used it to promote their agenda.
Ironically, this was the document that Attorney Luke Lirot had hoped Mike Rinder would review to prevent my son’s case from moving forward in the court of appeals. Although it was Mr. Rinder’s prerogative not to help Kyle, who was not a Scientologist or had ever been, one would think he’d want to help the lawyer who had sacrificed so much for the Lisa McPherson case.
“Leah Remini: Your personal relationships are being corroded over time. So it’s easy to walk away from someone. It’s easy to be disassociated from any real emotion from people that you love.”

“As a practicing Scientologist, Tom Brennan could not have a relationship with his son if Kyle violated Scientology’s anti-psychiatry tenet. So, when Kyle arrived in Clearwater to visit his father on February 8, 2007, Brennan faced a troubling situation—he had an SP staying in his apartment. Brennan no doubt immediately reported his dilemma to his Scientology superiors, including, of course, his Scientology “auditor” (or spiritual advisor), Denise Miscavige Gentile—twin sister of the organization’s controversial leader, David Miscavige.”
Five years after Kyle’s death, an interesting story was reported by WTSP News in Tampa. On November 9, 2012, Mark C. Rathbun—Scientology’s former number-two man—gave testimony accusing Clearwater-area judges and lawyers of criminal wrongdoing regarding another Scientology-related lawsuit.
